Business backs world football

The local business community is getting behind the two-week Consett International Football Festival planned for 2009. Teams from Liberia, Peru and Hungary will join local under-16 players for the tournament and other events include concerts and a conference on identity and integration. DEA is supporting local charity organisers Consett the World and companies are coming forward to help raise the £150,000 needed to stage the ambitious event. DEA Business Adviser and referee David Soulsby is pictured with organiser Ged Naughton and young footballers.
