Derwentside Enterprise Agency helping the Princes Trust Make a Million
Derwentside Enteprise Agency has entered a team into the Princes Trust Million Makers Corporate Challenge. This year Jeff Wiseman, Karen Raby, Oliver Vogt and Louise Wilkinson will work together as a team in order to raise funds for the Princes Trust.
Over the coming months the team will be working in collaboration with the Ramside Hall Hotel where they will run the activities for the evening with X Factor runner-up Stacey Solomon. They will also host a band night, showcasing some local talent in Derwentside.
Louise Wilkinson of Derwentside Enterprise commented ‘We are really excited to be involved in the Million Makers Challenge as it is in keeping with many of our aims as a business. Also, it is a fantastic way for three different parts of our business to work together.’
Youth unemployment costs the UK economy around £10 million a day in lost productivity and youth crime costs £1 billion every year. There has never been a more challenging time for disadvantaged young people both nationally and here in the North East and the work of the Princes Trust is vital to address this by giving practical and financial support to the young people who need it most.
Chris Gray, Head of Fundraising for the Princes Trust in the North East says ‘We are delighted to work in partnership with Derwentside Enterprise Agency in our quest to help over 3,000 disadvantaged young people in the North east Region this year. The team have been innovative in their approach to this National challenge and we wish them well in the events they have undertaken”
